Burn my eyes into the sin
Fuse my pupils into one
Bury my ears underground
So they cannot hear a sound
Twist my legs into a break
Throw my daughters in the lake
Throw my sons into the sea
See them swim away from me
Loes the does out in the frost
Find the stag until he's lost
Antlers mounted on a plaque
Flanking portals, covering tracks
Hide the fawns deep in the wood
Hide them deep and hide them good
Hide them for a single year
Hide them until they are deer
Cut my throat and set me free
Do it sharply and quickly
Turn my life inside out
Let it flow, let it out
Watch it pooling round your feet
Coagulate in the heat
Oxidised metallic brown
Painting rust upon the ground
Got myself extinction blues
Now there's nothing more to do
Nothing else left to say
Not by me anyway
I still play the entire album on repeat. For me, this album has a unique and rare power. That being said, Touche Amore are simply an amazing band Yellow Hammer
