Coming down the mountainside, it is getting dark
The tiny, distant houselights look like fire or sparks
Like warning beacons that are only lit in times of great danger
Like each little home is burning, and the gathering strangers
The dark rain clouds are in fact the smoke
From a fire that consumes everything whether fixed or broke
Down I go through cooled lava flows, down to meet my doom
Picking a twilight shining path, along the way of tombs
Tombs of creatures whose funeral pyres, smoke, up and curl
Encircle the natural yet still refrain from calling it a world
My world is changing, and I am changing too
When the world comes for me, I will be born anew
I still play the entire album on repeat. For me, this album has a unique and rare power. That being said, Touche Amore are simply an amazing band Yellow Hammer
